Who can apply for funding?
Applications for funding are invited from all hospitals in Yorkshire which deal with Paediatric Medicine.
The only stipulations are that the equipment must be for the used for the benefit of sick babies and children and that
full funding is not available from any other source.
What items will the fund consider suitable for funding?
In order to ensure a fair distribution of the Fund's limited resources, the Fund has applied certain criteria as to the items it will consider funding from the various hospitals.
District General & Teaching Hospitals
The Fund will consider applications for the provision of new equipment as well as the updating and replacing of basic medical equipment in Children's Wards. The Fund will also consider applications for research undertaken in Paediatric Units within Yorkshire
How do you apply?
Applications can be made at any time on the appropriate application form obtained from the Fund's Administrator
Who decides if funding is to be awarded?
All applications received are reviewed by the Fund's Advisory Panel. It is its task to assess each application, and make
a recommendation accordingly. It is, therefore, in the applicant's best interests to supply as much detail as possible when
making their application.
In all cases our Advisory Panel will contact the applicant to discuss their application. In some cases members of the
Advisory Panel may wish to visit the hospital.
What is the Support Fund?
Where financial hardship prohibits parents from visiting their sick babies and children a small amount of money may be
available from the Fund's Support Fund.
Applications can only be made by the hospital's Social Worker and payments are not made to individuals.
Application forms are available from the Fund's Administrator.
